Frequently Asked Question
Draft work stays off the student course page. Draft and Published pills on the Design Hub show the current state. Publishing makes that part of the course visible to students.
Publish one piece
Open the Edit menu on the row you want students to see.
| Menu label | What students get |
|---|---|
| Publish activity | That activity becomes visible. Other drafts in the same section stay drafts. |
| Publish subsection | That lesson becomes visible, including its activities. The parent section becomes visible too. Other draft lessons in the section stay drafts. |
| Publish section | The whole section becomes visible, including its lessons or its activity set. |
The unit plan and the lesson plan pages stay hidden from students. They remain teacher planning pages.
Publish the course
Publish course appears at the bottom of the Design Hub when at least one designed section is still a draft. It publishes every unpublished section that already has a design path. A section you have not designed yet is left alone.
While publishing is running, the button reads Publishing….
Check the course page
Select Back to course. Published sections and activities are on the course page. Draft sections are not shown to students. You can return to the hub, keep designing, and publish the rest later.
