The Instructional Design Ideas block can be added to the block drawer within any course (if permitted by Moodle site admin) - see image below:

The Instructional Design Ideas block consists of the following buttons:

• Course Sections - Course sections will be created based on the course summary.
• Class Notes - Class notes are generated based on the section name and description from a selected course section or subsection. A Page resource is then automatically generated within that selected section or subsection.
• Readings - Available if the Semantic Scholar API is connected at the site level. This allows a teacher to select a course section to pull suggested readings from Semantic Scholar (https://www.semanticscholar.org).
• Learning Outcomes - A course overview and list of learning outcomes are generated based on the course name and description. A page resource is then automatically generated within the top section of the course.
• Final Course Summary - A final course summary is generated based on the course name and description.
• Questions - Questions are generated based on the section name and description from a selected course section or subsection. Instructors can choose to keep or replace the content pulled from the section description or edit this to their needs. AI will generate questions based on the content you input. Instructors can then select the desired question type (e.g., multiple choice, true/false, short answer, numerical, essay, matching, or select missing words) and click the Generate button. The accepted questions are then added to the course Question Bank.
• Essay Topics - Essay topics are generated based on the section name and description from a selected course section or subsection. An Assignment activity is then automatically generated within that selected section or subsection.
• Activity Artist - A list of 10 suggested f2f classroom activities are generated based on the course name and description.
• Assessment Assistant - A list of 10 suggested f2f classroom assessment ideas are generated based on the course name and description.
